We've got plenty of things going on in February for you. Starting with our Clubnight on Tuesday the 5th at El Chaparral. The usual good food, wine and great company. And, still only 20€ inclusive.
Following that, on Saturday 9th, we have a superb classic car run & lunch organised for us by Tarik Wildman & Lorraine Powell. The route will start from Venta Peligrino, just above the La Cañada shopping centre, near Marbella. Breakfast early, cars to depart at 11.00AM with registration closing at 10.45. This is a stunning route and will finish at the restaurante El Coto near San Pedro. Please let us know if you are coming, I will send out RoadBooks etc and directions to the start later in the week. We will also need your choice of main course which will be steak or fish. More information soon.
Next week, on Tuesday February 12th, we are doing something different. We are arranging a small wine tasting and tapas evening at 'The Loft' in Calahonda. This elegant wine bar lends itself well to the occasion and is owned by CCCA members Marisa and Robert Wrigley. The evning will be presented by wine expert Charlotte Rodriguez whose enthusiasm and knowledge are well known in wine circles. Tickets will be 18€ which includes tastings of 5 wines and some splendid tapas prepared by Marisa herself. Contact them direct if you are coming. The Tuesday after that, February 19th, we are having the first of our regular 'Film Nights' at Hotel Tamisa Golf in Mijas Costa. For only 10€ you will get a decent feature film, some modern, some classic, as well as a light supper included and half price drinks early in the evening. This should be a real fun evening and a great chance to socialise over a 'noggin and natter' before and after the films.
I am also delighted to tell you that, following our first recce last week, the 5-day Tour Clasicos La Mancha event set for March 20th has a full entry. This has the makings of a great event and we have a superb entry list, full of fun people, which will contribute to making it a great party!
